Using dList Widgets<\/h3>\n

dList provides a number of custom widgets for you to use. At the time of writing this doc, there are currently 14 custom directorist widgets available in the WordPress Widget page. Additional custom widgets may be added in future releases. However, if you add additional directorist add-ons then you may see more directorist custom widgets. For example, you will see a Business Hour widget if you install and use the Directorist Business Hour extension.\u00a0 You will see the directorist claim listing widget if you use the Directorist Claim Listing extension. The name of all directorist custom widgets is prefixed by the word \u2018Directorist\u2019 so that you can easily identify them.<\/p>\n

There are two types of custom directorist widgets are available. They are\u00a0Single Listing Specific Widge\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Global Listing Widgets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Single Listing Specific Widgets<\/h3>\n

Some widgets are related to single listing and they are meant to be used in the single listing page only. Because they do not make sense if you use them anywhere except a single listing page. For example, the single author widget makes sense if we use it on the single listing page as the author’s information will change dynamically based on the current listing that a user seeing. The Single Listing specific widgets are generally used in the Directorist \u2013 Listing Right Sidebar area. But technically you can use them in any widget area\/sidebar. They won’t just display proper information if they are not used in the single listing page.
\nThe names of single listing specific widgets are given below.<\/p>\n

  1. Directorist \u2013 Author Info<\/strong>: It displays information about the current listing owner.<\/li>\n
  2. Directorist \u2013 Contact Listing Owner:<\/strong> it displays a contact form to contact the current listing owner.<\/li>\n
  3. Directorist \u2013 Map (Single Listing)<\/strong>: it displays the location of the current listing on a map.<\/li>\n
  4. Directorist \u2013 Similar Listings<\/strong>: it displays some listings similar to the current listing a user viewing<\/li>\n
  5. Directorist \u2013 Video<\/strong>: It displays the video of the current listing if it has one.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Global Listing Widgets<\/h3>\n

    Widgets that are not single listing specific and can be used in any sidebars in WordPress are global widgets. Any widgets that are not listed above are a global widget and can be used anywhere including in the right sidebar of the single listing page. Example of a global widget is<\/p>\n

    1. Directorist \u2013 Categories<\/strong>: It displays all categories.<\/li>\n
    2. Directorist \u2013 Locations:<\/strong>\u00a0It displays all Locations.<\/li>\n
    3. Directorist \u2013 Tags:<\/strong>\u00a0It displays all Tags.<\/li>\n
    4. Directorist \u2013 Map<\/strong>: it displays all locations on a map.<\/li>\n
    5. Directorist \u2013 Featured Listings<\/strong>: it displays all featured listings<\/li>\n
    6. Directorist \u2013 Popular Listing<\/strong>: It displays all popular listings.<\/li>\n
    7. Directorist \u2013 Search Listing<\/strong>: It displays search listings form.<\/li>\n
    8. Directorist \u2013 Submit Listing:<\/strong> It displays the submit listing button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Visits\u00a0Dashboard \u2192 Appearance \u2192 Widgets<\/strong> page and drag any widget to a sidebar you like and visit your website. You should see the widget is displaying.<\/p>\n
