To install Directorist \u2013 BuddyPress Integration extension<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Purchase a Membership Plan<\/a> which also includes 24 premium extensions or the extension Directorist \u2013 BuddyPress Integration<\/a> extension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Navigate to WordPress Admin Dashboard \u2192<\/strong> Directory Listings \u2192 Themes and Extensions<\/strong> \u2192<\/strong> Log in using your Directorist account email and password to install and activate the extension. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Upload and activate the BuddyPress theme(Recommended)<\/strong> from Appearance \u2192 Themes \u2192 Add New<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    *Make sure to have Directorist, BuddyPress Platform plugin, and the BuddyPress theme activated before you install and activate the extension.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you are new to Directorist go through the Directorist documentation first and set it up accordingly. (Skip if you have your directory up and running)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To configure the extension go to WordPress Admin Dashboard \u2192 Directory Listings \u2192 Settings \u2192 Extensions \u2192 Extensions General \u2192 BuddyPress<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Add Listing Activity Sharing:<\/strong> Enable the following option to allow users to share activity updates on the timeline or activity feed when the user creates a new listing. Here is an example – <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Allow Listing Sharing:<\/strong> When enabled, a new option is added to the Single Listings “Share” menu. Users are able to share any listing on their timeline or activity feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Share button text<\/strong>: You can also edit the text and name it however you like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Listings Default View:<\/strong> There are three types of views available in Directorist i.e. grid, list, and map. You can select the default view of the listings on the archive page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Listings Per Page:<\/strong> Set the number of listings to display on the all listings page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Group Directory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Enable Group Directory Listings:<\/strong> Group admin will get access to create directory listings within the group. Group listings are only visible to assigned groups. For example, if you add a listing to group “Car”, other groups, say group “Truck” will not be able to view the listing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Listings Default View:<\/strong> There are three types of views available in Directorist i.e. grid, list, and map. You can select the default view of the listings for the groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Note: <\/em><\/strong>You must enable the “User Groups”<\/strong> component in order to make it work. To enable it, go to WP Admin Dashboard \u2192 Settings \u2192<\/strong><\/em> BuddyPress \u2192 Components <\/strong>and activate “User Groups”<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
