The plugin works as expected and is far superior to the alternatives I checked out. The real selling point is the support. The directorist plugin works flawlessly and is the perfect implementation of a web directory. We have it set up with the dList theme and it is just perfect. Their team is continuously working to produce new extensions and add functionality to the plugin. And the best part is that the plugin is free! Customer support has also been amazing. They reply within 24 hours via email and and willing to help you with whatever issues you have, be it big or small. I would defiantly recommend this plugin and all the others these developers have made. It is worth the investment to buy the paid theme and extensions too!

After a chaotic start with WP Job Manager and a theme off Envato that I fully regret, I stumbled upon Directorist and so far the support has been very quick and accurate. They took a bit more time to get into my site to fix things and they seem to take on board user suggestions on their support forum. Documentation is pretty easy to find and they have Youtube videos showing you how to do things. I wish I came across Directorist sooner, it would have saved me 3 days of heartache with the other useless plugins/themes I tried! Now I’m well on my way to making a big motorcycle directory. This is by far the best classified plugin. I tried so many other classifieds plugins, but this one is quick to setup, easy to understand and works like a charm. Many useful features are included in the free version and paid addons offer much more for a small price.The support is done by the best and quickest team, I’ve ever experienced for a free plugin!

I’ve developed many “directory” plugins and accordingly have used many solutions specific to WordPress. Recently I got a new call for help from another business who was using the Directorist plugin. I hadn’t run across this plugin before so was a bit leary at first. My biggest concerns: Configuration Directory systems have oodles of options that can take a developer a lot of time thus costing clients a lot of money. Bad directory systems waste clients money; not this one. Configuration options are well organized and understandable. Payment Flow It just works, right out of the box. In my case Stripe was the go to. Image Handling The Directorist plugins gives ample options for displaying listing images. Support I had one issue with my clients setup that was baffling and wasn’t sure if it was due to the plugin or externally caused by PHP version, memory limits, Apache configs ets. Hopping over to the Directorist website their support was instantly available online and solved the issue; did my job for me so THANK YOU!

We’ve tried lots of plugins but directorist by far is the best one. There are bugs around filtering by tags tags allow multi-select when they should be single-select, and all tags display under filter and not the ones to do with the category itself. not an issue for a smaller database but if you plan of having a large database the tag sorting issue will come up. I emailed the devs and within hours they turned down my offer of payment to fix it and said it would be fixed in the next release for everyone and for free. There are alot of paid addons we need and I’m now even more happy to support a dev like this who clearly wants their work to be the best.
