Make sure to click on "Save" and then "Sync", else the changes won't take effect. You must move the PO and MO files from the plugins folder to wp-content → languages → loco → plugins or wp-content → languages → plugins to avoid losing your translations when you update the plugin. To do so navigate to Loco translate → plugins → select the plugin you are translating and the click on "edit" right below the language file. Now click on "Relocate", select either "Custom" or "System" and click on "Move files" to avoid losing your translations when you update the plugin. An option will appear to create a new language. Select the language from the drop-down You will have to translate the string on the interface and save it when you are done. Upon saving the file, you will notice two new files .po and .mo is created. You must add the text domain "directorist" before the WordPress Locale Code. Rename the files like directorist-en_US.po and directorist-en_US.mo. Please note, the WordPress Locale Code will vary and do not edit the language code that is generated by the poedit or make sure not to rename the code which is after directorist-. In short, poedit software will save the file with language code and you just need to add the "directorist-" before the file name.
