To install Directorist – BuddyPress Integration extension
- Purchase a Membership Plan which also includes 24 premium extensions or the extension Directorist – BuddyPress Integration extension.
- Navigate to WordPress Admin Dashboard → Directory Listings → Themes and Extensions → Log in using your Directorist account email and password to install and activate the extension.
- Upload and activate the BuddyPress theme(Recommended) from Appearance → Themes → Add New
*Make sure to have Directorist, BuddyPress Platform plugin, and the BuddyPress theme activated before you install and activate the extension.
If you are new to Directorist go through the Directorist documentation first and set it up accordingly. (Skip if you have your directory up and running)

Configuration
To configure the extension go to WordPress Admin Dashboard → Directory Listings → Settings → Extensions → Extensions General → BuddyPress
You will see User Profile, Group Directory, and Pages settings.
User Profile
Add Listing Activity Sharing: Enable the following option to allow users to share activity updates on the timeline or activity feed when the user creates a new listing. Here is an example -
Allow Listing Sharing: When enabled, a new option is added to the Single Listings "Share" menu. Users are able to share any listing on their timeline or activity feed.
Share button text: You can also edit the text and name it however you like.
Listings Default View: There are three types of views available in Directorist i.e. grid, list, and map. You can select the default view of the listings on the archive page.
Listings Per Page: Set the number of listings to display on the all listings page.
Group Directory
Enable Group Directory Listings: Group admin will get access to create directory listings within the group. Group listings are only visible to assigned groups. For example, if you add a listing to group "Car", other groups, say group "Truck" will not be able to view the listing.
Listings Default View: There are three types of views available in Directorist i.e. grid, list, and map. You can select the default view of the listings for the groups.
Listings Per Page: Set the number of listings to display on the group's listings page.
Note: You must enable the "User Groups" component in order to make it work. To enable it, go to WP Admin Dashboard → Settings → BuddyPress → Components and activate "User Groups".

Page Redirection
Login Redirect: Redirect Directorist login page to BuddyPress login page.
Registration Redirect: Redirect Directorist registration page to BuddyPress registration page.
